About Claire
It all started when she discovered a chest of gemstones hidden in her grandparents’ house. Their shadowy basement held a treasure trove of old stock from their shuttered jewellery business in New York City’s Diamond District. She was ten, and the sparkling but mostly worthless stones begged to be arranged in different colour combinations and geometric patterns, sparking a dream to craft jewels of her own.
Claire has since trained in traditional goldsmithing techniques under master goldsmiths in Paris, Glasgow, and Florence. She makes modern amulets that reinterpret the millennia-old tradition of imbuing jewellery with magic and meaning.
Outside of the studio, some of her favourite things are: windy walks on rocky coastlines, snuggles with cats, lemon zest, and a glass of whisky on a rainy evening.
